Accounts
  • Overview - The Accounts module is designed to manage connections and user accounts. It's important to note that FinStudio does not permit users to add new Connection Providers. Instead, Connection Providers are pre-integrated within the platform, and users can only add accounts for the supported providers.
  • Account Management - Users have the ability to create, add, edit, and delete accounts associated with existing connection providers. This includes the flexibility to modify account parameters as necessary.

Data & Trading Accounts Support

  • Trading Accounts - These are the primary accounts used for placing orders and engaging in trading activities.
  • Data Accounts - Serve a different purpose by providing access to market data and other relevant information. However, trading is not permissible with Data Accounts.

Virtual Accounts

  • Virtual Accounts - In addition to accounts linked to supported providers, users have the capability to create Virtual Accounts. These accounts allow users to copy trades between multiple accounts, enhancing flexibility in managing trades and strategies.
  • Functionality - Virtual Accounts enable users to trade across multiple accounts from a single interface. The platform supports two industry-standard modes, which are akin to PAMM (Percentage Allocation Management Module) or Trade Copying Accounts. However, FinStudio utilizes the terms Signal Provider and Subscriber Accounts (Original Balance & Projected Volume) and Merged Account and Subaccounts (Merged Balance & Divided Volume) to differentiate between the functionalities.

Set Account Maximum Drawdown

  • Risk Management - Recognizing that drawdowns are an inevitable aspect of trading, FinStudio offers a feature to set a maximum drawdown limit for an account. This tool is pivotal in preventing margin calls by enabling users to manage risk more effectively.

Accounts Grid

  • Overview - The Accounts Grid is a central feature where users can view a list of all added accounts. This grid provides detailed information about each account, which is particularly useful for users managing multiple accounts.

Account Properties

  • Details - This section displays all properties for a selected account, whether it's a single trading/data account or a virtual account. For trading and data accounts, users must enter account credentials to log in and connect. For virtual accounts, users have complete control over all parameters.

Workplaces

  • User Interface - FinStudio is designed to allow each account to operate within its own workplace environment. Although the platform supports multiple concurrent accounts, each must be opened in its own distinct workplace. To access another account, users can simply click the Open button under the Workplace column in the accounts grid, which initiates a new workplace environment specifically for that account.
