Instrument Provider Account

In order for MBDV to work, we need to select instrument provider account first.

Add Prefix / Suffix

It will add prefix/suffix, which will add letters to beginning or the end of symbol

Remove Prefix / Suffix

These functions will simply remove X letters from the beginning or the end

We need to enter this value as a number.

Use

Let's consider a situation where a client's 1 account instrument is EURUSD and on client's account 2 all instruments are using a suffix so the final instrument reads f.e. EURUSDpro. We might want to remove the suffix and last 3 letters on the client account 2 so it can be mapped to an identical instrument name as on the client account 1.

To remove the suffix, we input number 3 to delete the last 3 letters of the instrument name on the client account 2 and it’s all done.

If prefix/suffix doesn’t work for all instruments (f.e. different instruments have different prefix/suffix), we will have to map the instruments individually. We add a plus sign to add a new row. We then click on the Add box and start typing the instrument name. We choose the instrument and add instrument to the list so we can adjust the prefix/suffix for the specific instrument.

We first add the instrument from Instrument Provider Account we initially selected and then we keep adding instruments for client accounts, so EURUSD in the instrument provider account will correspond to all added instruments. Search will only look for the instruments provided by a specific provider, the one that account belongs to.

This way we can associate all instruments on each client account to the instruments on the instrument provider account.
