The Strategy Runner module in FinStudio is designed to provide traders with a powerful and centralized platform for managing and executing automated trading strategies. This module allows users to run, monitor, and control multiple strategies from a single interface, ensuring efficient and organized trading operations. The module is divided into two main sections: Strategies and Trade Algos, each offering distinct functionalities to enhance trading management.
In the Strategies section, users can efficiently run and manage all their trading strategies. This section features a comprehensive strategy table that displays essential details for each strategy, including the instrument, interval, last update time, action, and status. The strategies are grouped by their running environment, whether they are running in the background or on a chart, allowing for a clear and organized view of all active strategies. The bottom pane, known as the Strategy Properties pane, provides access to detailed settings and parameters for each strategy. Here, users can adjust various aspects such as calculation parameters, money management rules, entry and exit signals, trading limitations, and alerts. This detailed customization ensures that each strategy is fine-tuned to the user's specific trading requirements. Initially, when no strategy is active, this module appears empty, but users can add new strategies using the "Add" button, which opens a window for setting up new trading strategies.
The Trade Algos section focuses on managing the various trade algorithms that are running across the application. Trade algorithms, which can include custom actions and exit methods, are applied to trades to extend their functionality and behavior. For instance, these algorithms can be set up from the Chart Trading Panel, where users can place orders with custom actions or exit methods. The toolbar at the top of this section includes options to delete a trade algo, enable all, or disable all trade algorithms, providing users with quick control over their automated actions. The main section is divided into two parts: the left part contains a table listing all trade algorithms with columns for details such as name, instrument, interval, position, entry order, last bar update, state, action, and status. The right part displays the settings and properties of the selected trade algorithm, allowing users to adjust parameters and apply new settings as needed. This setup provides a clear overview and easy management of all running trade algorithms.
Overall, the Strategy Runner module in FinStudio offers a robust and centralized platform for managing automated trading strategies and trade algorithms. By providing detailed control and monitoring capabilities, it ensures that traders can efficiently optimize their strategies and adapt to market conditions, whether they are managing a single strategy or a complex portfolio of automated systems. This module is essential for traders looking to enhance their trading operations with advanced automation and comprehensive management tools.
