The RSS Reader module allows users to add and manage different RSS feeds, load news headlines, and read them in a preview window browser. This module helps users stay updated with the latest news and information relevant to their trading strategies and interests.

Folder Pane

The Folder Pane is where various feeds are organized into different folders, allowing users to categorize the feeds based on markets, subjects, or any desired category.

 

Creating and Managing Folders

 

Create New Folder

Click on the Create Folder icon on the toolbar and enter the name of the new folder. This will create a new folder in the Folder Pane.

Add Feed

To add a feed, click on the Add Feed icon on the toolbar and enter the Feed URL, Feed Title, and Feed Description. The feed will be added to the selected folder.

Reorganize Folders

Right-clicking on a folder will bring up a menu with several options:

 

  • Add Feed: Add a new feed to the selected folder.

  • Refresh Feed: Update the feed to load the latest headlines.

  • Mark All As Read: Mark all items in the folder as read.

  • Add Subfolder: Create a subfolder within the selected folder.

  • Rename: Rename the selected folder.

  • Delete: Delete the selected folder.

Smart Feeds

The Folder Pane also supports smart feeds that organize feeds according to specific criteria:

  • Today: Shows only today's feeds.

  • All Unread: Shows only unread feeds.

  • Favorites: Shows favorite feeds.

 

RSS Link Pane

Once a feed source is selected in the Folder Pane, its content appears in the RSS Link Pane. This pane displays the list of headlines and summaries from the selected feed.

Preview Window Browser

When a specific item is clicked in the RSS Link Pane, it opens in the main reading window browser. This allows users to read the full content of the feed item directly within the RSS Reader module.
