Toolbar Icons and Their Functions

New Blank Layout:

  • Functionality: Creates a new, blank layout that serves as a clean slate for users to configure from scratch.

  • Process: Users click the icon, enter a name for the new layout in the New Layout input field, and confirm with OK. The new blank layout, which contains no preloaded modules, will then appear in the Layouts list.
Import Layout:

  • Functionality: Imports a layout from an external file, allowing users to restore or share layouts easily.

  • Process: Users browse to select the layout file and import it. The imported layout then appears in the layout list, ready for use.
Export Selected Layout:

  • Functionality: Exports the currently selected layout to a file, useful for backup or sharing with other users.

  • Process: Users select the destination file path, enter a name, and save the layout.

Duplicate Selected Layout:

  • Functionality: Creates a duplicate of the currently selected layout. This is useful for creating variations of a layout without starting from scratch.

  • Process: After duplication, users can modify the new layout as needed.

Save Selected Layout:

  • Functionality: Saves any changes made to the selected layout, ensuring that all adjustments are retained.

Reset Selected Layout to Default State:

  • Functionality: Reverts the selected layout to its last saved state, undoing any unsaved changes.

  • Process: This is particularly useful for reverting accidental changes or experimental adjustments.

Set Selected Layout to Active:

  • Functionality: Makes another selected layout active, switching the application to this layout.

  • Process: The application immediately reflects the change, showcasing the selected layout.

Layouts List Management

Organization and Accessibility:

  • Layout Names: Appear in alphabetical order in the layout list, facilitating easy navigation.

  • Star Icon (Favorite): Allows users to mark a layout as a favorite. Favorited layouts turn the star icon yellow and create a shortcut icon on the main top application toolbar for quick access.
  • Delete Icon: Permanently deletes the layout and its corresponding file, clearing space and removing unused configurations.
  • Folder Icon: Opens Windows Explorer at the path of the layout file, showing its location in the directory.
User Experience Enhancements

Marking a layout as favorite and having quick access icons on the top toolbar significantly streamline switching between different trading setups. This feature is particularly beneficial for traders who need to adapt quickly to different market conditions or tasks throughout the trading day.
